Born in the diverse metropolitan of Mexico City, Lorien and her family moved to the United States when she was only four. As a little girl, Lorien was undeniably drawn to the industry, dreaming of how one day she too could create iconic styles from the movies and magazines that inspired her. 

It is this love for the arts that led Lorien into the space of becoming a hairstylist. After graduating from Euphoria Institute of Beauty Arts and Science in Las Vegas, Lorien moved to San Diego. After completing 2 years of employment, Lorien had the privilege of becoming a part of the Ken Paves Salon team in Las Vegas, where she honed her color and cutting techniques.   Lorien gained a professional point of view through the apprenticeship program that was offered. Once completed, Lorien headed to join part of the team at Ken’s West Hollywood location and called the LA salon home for the past 6 years.


With years of experience in the industry, Lorien has come to realize that continuing her education is crucial to being able to deliver the standard of service that she feels all of her guests deserve. Lorien has initiated additional training, such as advanced courses the world renowned Alexandre De Paris’s team in France, learning classic styling techniques at the Unite Eurotherapy Academy as well as the ever evolving fashion forward trends. Lorien’s strong color abilities are have been gained through advanced education with Wella & L’oreal color training.  She values excellence in every detail of her work.  This desire is based in a client-centered philosophy. Lorien approaches all of her guests with methods that best suit the individual. Creating an overall experience for her clients is what inspires and motivates Lorien to push beyond her boundaries. 

In addition, Lorien has found a beautiful balance in being able to inter-weave her love for hairdressing as well as giving to deserving women in several ways.  Lorien has participated in countless make over shows, leaving women of all backgrounds celebrating their rediscovered beauty.  “A Great Makeover isn’t about how much hair is left on the floor.”  

Lorien’s most meaningful endeavor lies in her work for The Mary Magdelene Project. Lorien has individually been able to raise very generous donations through multiple creative and inspiring ways for this outreach.  The proceeds of these donations are to help women who have been victims of human trafficking.
